I like predictable rhythms.
I like pressing hard & then
sipping the rest breath that comes
in predictable patterns.

Several years ago I spent
23 weeks on bedrest…
And the battle to rest –
intensely exhausting.

Slowly… I learned to relax.
Savor the stillness.
Anticipate without anxiousness.

When a day
a week or a season
tucks away, I’m reminded …
To Remember. To Savor.
To Give Thanks.

Sabbath is a state
of mind,
body, & soul
that remarkably reorients
Life Beyond me.
